NASCAR Odds on Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. has plans on racing in the Sprint Cup Series full-time in 2013, and he’d like to leave the Nationwide circuit in style. Stenhouse, Jr., the Nationwide champion in 2011, will try to continue his move up the standings when NASCAR moves to Loudon, New Hampshire for the F.W. Webb 200 on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Stenhouse, Jr., finished in second place last week at the Subway Jalapeno 250, but still has some ground to make up.

Elliot Sadler currently leads the Nationwide Series standings with 591 points, which is 18 ahead of the third place Stenhouse, Jr. Austin Dillon is in second place with 583 points. Stenhouse, Jr. has the most wins (3) of any Nationwide driver and he has more top-5s than Sadler, but hasn’t been as consistent each week.

Sam Hornish, Jr. is in fourth place with 556 points, while Justin Allgaier is in a distant fifth with 519. Only the top-four seem to have a realistic chance of winning based on the current points. Danica Patrick is currently in ninth place in the standings.

Elliot Sadler is currently in the driver’s seat, and a solid second half of the season will lead him to the Nationwide title. Stenhouse, Jr. had a good race last time out and will try to keep closing in on Sadler. Dillon cannot be discounted, as he has also been solid this season. Kyle Busch has won this race the past three years coming down from the Sprint Cup series and he must be considered one of the favorites to win the F.W. Webb 200 in NASCAR wagering.
