Suns @ Lakers Game 2 Western Conference Finals
Game 1 was an ugly lop-sided affair that the Phoenix Suns would like to forget as the team prepares for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals NBA basketball odds matchup. The Lakers played their best game of the NBA playoff betting action in Game 1 and the Suns are hoping that there isn’t a repeat performance in Wednesday at the Staples Center.
Score 128-107 is not a basketball betting score that the Suns (54-28) want to dwell with, and you can be assured that the loss has been erased from the players’ minds. The Suns need only to win one of the two first games in LA to take control of this NBA betting odds series before it heads to the Valley of the Sun.
With a win in Game 2 they could do just that. But a win won’t be easy, especially if Kobe Bryant is locked in on the basket again and finishes with 40+ points for a second straight NBA playoff betting game.
In Game 1 the Lakers flew out of the gates looking to catch the Suns off guard and beat them at their own game. LA got the ball down the court quickly and looked to run on a Suns team that many NBA odds makers had the monopoly on fast breaking in this NBA playoff betting series. And it worked very well.
The Suns should be a bit bettered prepared in their transition defense –although this is certainly not the team’s strong suit. But more importantly, it’s difficult to imagine the best 3-point shooting team in the NBA basketball action shooting so poorly again from behind the arc (5-22).
If Phoenix can knock down a few outside shots early and players like Jason Richardson and Channing Frye get into a rhythm from the perimeter, Game 2 will be a completely different type of NBA betting match up and the Suns will have a good shot at winning.
