Jets have the look of an NFL Super Bowl Contender
The New York Jets fans are reputed to be some of the worst people on earth, according to newly acquired Jet DE Jason Taylor, but they can be forgiven for any ill manners as they’ve been some of the most long-suffering in the NFL Football betting action. Not since the days of Joe Willie Namath have the football betting fans had much to cheer about.
Not until now.
Buddy Ryan came into New York like a hurricane last season talking up a storm in the media and making outlandish claims about his team’s chances in the football odds. And then his team went out and backed his talk up with a string of NFL betting victories and a run all the way to the AFC Championship game in his first year as a head coach in the NFL odds competition.
So in his second year as an NFL coach the only way he can top the success of his rookie NFL Football betting campaign is to get his team into the Super Bowl betting competition.
And that’s not all that far-fetched of an NFL odds scenario.
Last year this team had the best defense in the NFL betting action and during the off-season this unit has only gotten better. The team already had the best cover corner in the league (Derrelle Revis) and they brought in another top CB (Antonio Cromartie) to bookend their pass coverage. The one knock on this team was that despite applying pressure the team didn’t get many sacks. So they signed veteran sack-master Taylor to put the opponents QB on the ground.
On offense this team still has some question marks, most of them surrounding the play of second-year QB Mark Sanchez. Last year most NFL betting experts from sbg sportsbook gave him mixed reviews. But with another year of experience and an improved set of skill position players (WR Santonio Holmes, RB Shonn Greene) it should be easier for him to make plays.
This team will have a tough road in the NFL betting competition just getting out of a difficult AFC East division. But on paper this is a better team than it was last year and NFL betting expectations will be sky-high.
