2010 Has been the best Stanley Cup Betting in History

Has there ever been a better Stanley Cup betting postseason than this year? You would be hard pressed to find anything in the annals of sports betting competition that could rival this year’s mind-blowing NHL Hockey odds action. And I’m not just talking hockey betting here, I’m talking any sports betting postseason, anytime, anywhere.

NFL, NBA, MLB betting none of those leagues’ playoff betting has anything on the storyline that’s unfolding right now in the 2010 NHL playoff betting competition. Where to begin? The first round of the Stanley Cup betting action this year had enough excitement to last an entire hockey betting post season in most years with two major upsets in the Eastern Conference.

At the onset of the NHL playoff betting action it seemed obvious to everyone who even had an ounce of hockey betting knowledge that #1 Washington Capitals –after dominating the regular season (122 points)- would waltz their way to the Stanley Cup betting finals. Along the way they would play the defending Stanly Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins in a de facto Finals and hoist Sir Stanley’s Cup for the first time in hockey betting history.

But a funny thing happened once the puck was dropped and the NHL playoff betting action got underway. The Caps lost. And so did the #2 seed New Jersey Devils. And all of a sudden there was bedlam in the NHL Hockey betting odds and the craziness has only just begun. After knocking off the #1 seed Caps the #8 seed Canadiens then set their sights on the Stanly Cup betting champs and knocked off the Penguins in another seven-game thriller.

In doing so the Habs became the first team to beat the #1 seed and the defending champion in the same NHL playoff betting season. Montreal is also the only #8 seed to ever advance to the Eastern Conference Finals betting action. The Philadelphia Flyers, the #7 seed that knocked off the Devils, have provided plenty of hockey betting excitement of their own and on Friday night will try to become the only the fourth team in professional sports betting history to come back from a 3-0 deficit in the playoff betting competition. And with the way that things have gone so far in this NHL playoff betting action, the odds are very good that they pull off the upset.
