Hawks even Stanley Cup series at home
The Shark Tank has lost some of its bite, or at least that’s what a hockey betting fan might infer after the recent Chicago Blackhawks victory over the host San Jose Sharks in the Stanley Cup betting competition. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead early in the second period this Western Conference Finals Game 2 was never very close and the Hawks continued their incredible play on the road during the 2010 hockey betting.
One thing that has set the Chicago Blackhawks (52-22-11) apart the entire NHL hockey betting season has been the team’s ability to play on the road. Over the course of the regular hockey betting season the Hawks posted a fantastic road record of 23-14-4. That’s better than most teams’ record at home and the team hasn’t lost a beat on the road during the Stanley Cup betting season either. The Hawks took three games on the road in the previous hockey betting series against the Canucks and have already stole one NHL playoff betting victory against San Jose.
Game 2 was another typical display of the Hawks playing terrific behind enemy lines. Captain Jonathon Toews has been terrific the entire NHL playoff betting action and the Sharks must find a way to keep him in check if they want to advance to the Stanley Cup betting finals. Toews leads all scorers in the NHL playoff betting action with 23 points (7 goals, 16 assists) through 14 games. He’s been a one man wrecking crew and in Game 2 he notched another assist and goal.
The Blackhawks are now in the driver’s seat even if the NHL hockey playoff betting series is even at 1-1. By winning in San Jose the Hawks now control the home ice as the series head to Chicago for two games.
But this Stanley Cup betting series is by no means over. The Sharks are one of the most experienced teams in the NHL betting action and there’s a reason why they finished the regular season hockey betting with the second best record in the league (113 points).
San Jose has one of the best defenses in hockey betting and Chicago has not been all that good at defending its home ice. Game three in this NHL playoff betting series looks wide open.
