Stanley Cup Betting: Game 3 Will Be Figth to The Death

For any hockey betting fans that think the Philadelphia Flyers will fade quietly into the night during this Stanley Cup betting matchup, you should think again.  After all, this is a team that scratched and clawed its way back from a 3-0 deficit in its NHL playoff betting series versus the Boston Bruins –becoming the first team in the NHL odds to accomplish such a feat in nearly 50 years and just the third team in hockey betting history to do so.

The Flyers are also brimming with confidence after such a remarkable feat and a 2-0 deficit means very little.

In fact, far from being over, the Stanley Cup betting action is just getting started and anyone expecting to see a sweep of the 2010 Stanley Cup odds competition will likely be disappointed.

The Flyers are all but unbeatable at home thanks to their raucous crowds and the overwhelming support his team has received so far in the NHL playoff betting action.  Philly is the one place that no visiting team wants to play but the Chicago Blackhawks have little choice in the matter.

In Game 3, expect the play to be even more physical than in Game 2.  Throughout this Stanley Cup betting series the games will get progressively more brutal and so much the better for the Flyers who embrace this style of play.  Philly has done a terrific job of taking Hawks captain and NHL playoff betting leading scorer Jonathan Toews out of this series (26 points in his first 16 NHL playoff betting games; 0 points in 2 Stanley Cup betting games).

That being said the Flyers have to do a better job shutting down role players like Marion Hossa (1 goal, 2 assists).  The team also has to do a better job of protecting Goalie Michael Leighton who’s played the first two games of the 2010 Stanley Cup odds action with Hawks players constantly draped in front of the goal.  For the most part the Chicago Forwards are having their way with Philly defenders near the goal and that has to change.

Look for the Flyers to come out aggressive on the offense and for Danny Briere and Scott Hartnell to continue to have a big impact on this hockey betting series. Flyers win Game 3.
