MMA Betting: Thiago Santos rematch with Eric Prindle

Thiago Santos has found success since he joined the Bellator Fighting Championships and will match up with a familiar face in his next bout. Santos is undefeated since joining Bellator but does have a no-contest on his record, and he will get his rematch with Eric Prindle at Bellator 75 on Friday, October 5th, 2012 at the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana.

Santos began his career 8-1 before joining Bellator and has won both of his bouts since. He made his debut at Bellator 53 on October 8th, 2011 and defeated Josh Burns by submission. He fought just three weeks later and defeated Neil Grove by submission. Santos and Prindle then faced off in the Bellator Season 5 Heavyweight Tournament Final but it ended in a no-contest because Santos delivered a kick to Prindle’s groin and he could not continue.

Of Santos’ 10 career victories, he has five submission wins, two knockouts, two submissions and one by disqualification. Prindle has a majority of wins via knockout, so Santos would prefer to get into a wrestling match. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is dangerous on the mat. The only loss in Santos’ career came to Alexey Oleinik by submission on November 27th, 2009 after he began 6-0. It was the second fight of the day for Santos, so it was obviously not an ideal circumstance.

Santos hasn’t fought since the no-contest against Prindle on November 26th, 2011 so he will be very fresh for this one. He was losing the fight early on the first time around but will look to match up better in this one. The winner of this bout at Bellator 75 moves on to the semifinals in the heavyweight championships, so there is plenty at stake in MMA gambling.
